As you may know I presented on Confidence 2009.02 in Poland on Seccubus (still called AutoNessus) and the TLS renegotiation gap.
I just released Seccubus version 1.4.1 on our sourceforge page. The main goal of this release was to fix compatibility with Nessus 4.2
Since it became apparent that the next version of AutoNessus was going to outgrow the reference to Nessus, Tennable’s Network Security Scanner, due to the inclusion of other scanners such as OpenVAS, NMAP and Nikto, the author of the program, Frank Breedijk, decided to start a contest for a new name.
Yes, you read it right, there will be prizes. First prize will be this bottle of champaign.
I have been asked by the organizers of the Confidence conference in Poland to give a talk on Seccubus on their Warshau edition on 19 and 20 november 2009.
I received a very nice note from Vivek of SecurityTube stating how he liked Seccubus. He was also kind enough to include my screencast on SecurityTube.
